I’ll admit it, I watch a wedding dress show while I am working out. The reason I am posting about this is that I keep hearing the term “A-line” being used WRONG by these fancy-dancy wedding dress salespeople. They erroneously call a-line what is actually a natural waistline dress.
For clarification, here are some A-line garments:
What the show people call an a-line dress is a “natural-waist” dress. A-line dresses have no gathering, no fullness, no demarcation of the waist at all. So next time you are watching a wedding dress show, and they start using the term “a-line” you will know better!
Hi! I really like your post. I’m Cameron and I’m very interested in fashion. I think you would enjoy my posts; I would really appreciate a follow back! Thanks!
I will take a look. Thanks! Are you a designer, too? I took my interest to college and got a degree in apparel design 23 years ago. I am glad you like my post – do you have any similar pet peeves?
No, I’m not a designer; I just have a major interest in the fashion industry. Thanks!
